Maintenance
- First 7 days after installation
Allow the installation to fully cure. Avoid washing the vehicle, high-pressure water and unnecessary handling where possible.
1 - Regular washing
Wash using a pH-neutral shampoo and a soft microfibre wash mitt. Avoid abrasive brushes and harsh chemicals.
2 - Maintenance
Increase your Ceramic Coating or PPF’s hydrophobic performance with ZKYN Ceramic Shield, reapplied as recommended to keep your coating performing at its best.
3 - What to avoid
Avoid petroleum-based solvents, abrasive polishes and chemicals not approved for automotive Paint Protection Film or ceramic coatings.

How do I register my warranty?
There’s no need to register your ZKYN warranty. Every ZKYN box includes a pre-registered, authentic ZKYN warranty card and card holder. Simply keep your warranty card safe – it acts as your proof of registration and warranty coverage.
Can I wash my car normally after installation?
Yes, but allow the film’s adhesive to fully cure before washing the vehicle. Once cured, normal washing is fine. Use a gentle, pH-neutral car shampoo and avoid aggressive pressure washing directly at film edges.
How long does a ZKYN PPF installation take?
Installation time depends on the vehicle, coverage and complexity of the application. A full-vehicle application requires multiple days to achieve the best possible finish.
Will PPF damage my paint when removed?
When professionally installed and removed correctly, high-quality PPF does not damage the underlying paint. ZKYN’s PPF is designed to protect the original finish, with easy removal with no residue.
What is the difference between Gloss, Satin and Colour PPF?
ZKYN Gloss PPF provides a clear, high-shine finish while protecting the original paint. ZKYN Satin PPF creates a smooth, understated finish with a distinctive sheen. ZKYN Colour PPF combines paint protection with a change in colour, allowing you to transform your vehicle while protecting its surface.
