- Car Owner registrations: name, location, e-mail address and telephone number.

We process personal data for the following purposes:
- to receive and manage registrations of interest in ZKYN;
- to respond to enquiries and communicate with professional installers and car owners;
- to provide relevant information about ZKYN products, product availability and launch updates requested through the form;
- where applicable, to discuss potential installer partnerships and participation in the ZKYN installer network;
- to operate, secure and technically maintain the website; and
- to prevent spam, abuse and automated form submissions.
We process personal data based on consent (Art. 6(6) FDPA, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract (Art. 31(2)(a) FDPA, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 31(1) FDPA, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or our legitimate interests (Art. 21(2) FDPA, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), depending on the relevant processing activity.

5.1 Hosting – Hetzner
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (Hetzner). When you access the website, technical data may be processed on Hetzner’s servers in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. This can include IP addresses and server log information.
We use Hetzner for the secure and reliable provision of the website.
5.2 Cookies and Borlabs Cookie
The website does not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies. No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Pixel or similar analytics or marketing tracking is implemented.
We use Borlabs Cookie consent technology to manage and document cookie and technology preferences. Please refer to the Borlabs consent management banner for further information on the cookies used. Consent information is stored locally within the website’s WordPress database and is not transmitted to or stored by Borlabs GmbH.
5.3 Registration-of-Interest Forms – WordPress
The website allows Professional Installers and Car Owners to register their interest in ZKYN. We collect (company) name, location, e-mail address and telephone number.
Form submissions are also sent to the designated ZKYN e-mail recipient using Microsoft 365. We use the submitted information to manage and respond to registrations, provide the information requested through the form, communicate relevant product or availability updates, and, for professional installers, discuss potential partnership opportunities.
Form entries are retained for 12 months and are then scheduled for automatic deletion, unless a longer retention period is required for a specific enquiry, an ongoing business relationship, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or a legal retention obligation.
5.4 Invisible reCAPTCHA – Google
We use Google Invisible reCAPTCHA on the website to protect forms against spam, abuse and automated submissions and for security. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
reCAPTCHA evaluates technical and behavioural information in order to determine whether a form interaction is likely to originate from a human user or an automated system.
The data processed include data such as the IP address, device/browser information, time spent on the website and interaction information. Such data are transmitted to Google and may be processed in or accessed from the United States.
6. International Data Transfers
We process personal data in Switzerland, in the member States of the EU and EEA as well as in the UK. The Swiss Federal Council and the European Commission have issued an adequacy decision according to which these countries offer an adequate level of data protection. Our website, form submissions and associated backups are hosted by Hetzner in Germany. Form submissions are also sent to the designated ZKYN e-mail recipient using Microsoft 365.
Our service provider Google processes personal data in connection with Google Invisible reCAPTCHA Enterprise. This data may be transferred to or accessed from the United States. We have no influence on how Google, as controller, processes your personal data. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy.
7. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Registration-of-interest form entries are retained for 12 months as described above. Technical logs and consent records may be retained for different periods where required for security, evidence of consent, troubleshooting or legal compliance.
8. Your Rights
Under certain conditions, you may have rights in relation to your personal data, including the right to request information about the personal data we process, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion of data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have rights including data portability and the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Internet-based data transmission can nevertheless involve security risks, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
